Saturn return

A couple of years back my sister and her partner warned me about my Saturn return; this so-called coming of age where major life events take place and put you in an emotional roller coaster. I guess this was my year.

I turn 27 this year and in less than 6 months I’ve worked things out with an ex boyfriend, got pregnant, parted ways with my mother and moved out. If I was told in my teens that this would be my life today, I would’ve laughed because its so far from what i envisioned. Nothing really prepares you for this. All I wanted this summer was killer abs and to study for my CSET and instead I got a bigger belly than what I started with, am trying to collect unemployment and receive medi-cal.

I’m starting to fully grasp the complications and joys of pregnancy as well as how fucked up the system is. It’s all a humbling experience.

I know this is all a blessing and with time things will become better. Until then, as always, I am rolling with the punches and trying to appreciate the limited constants I do have in my life. Although things could be better, things could’ve also been a lot worst. So cheers to that.
